MAKE YOUR COMMUNITY COUNT!

2020 Census

The Census is a survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau every 10 years, and counts every person living in the 50 states, District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories. This count determines how many people represent us in Congress and how much money our communities receive for local schools, hospitals, roads, and more. When it's time to respond, most households will receive an invitation by mail. Depending on how likely your area is to respond online, you'll receive either an invitation encouraging you to respond online or an invitation along with a paper questionnaire.

If you need some extra help with your Census questionnaire - the West Cook YMCA will be here to help! Starting March 12th, you can stop at the West Cook YMCA (dedicated Census pop-up station) and take your Census survey with additional support from one of our team members or volunteers. It is fast, easy, and completely confidential!

Take your Census Survey at the West Cook YMCA!

When: Starting March 12th to April 30th, come inside the West Cook YMCA and take your Census survey at our location, with the help and support of one of our team members or volunteers!

Hours: 9:00am - 12:00pm Monday to Friday

What do I need to bring to take my survey at the West Cook YMCA? You will need your ID and the identification number sent to your home to complete the self-response portal. If you do not have that number, it is fine, you will be able to use your address to complete the survey.

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!

Y-Kids before & after school program

Y-Kids is for students in Kindergarten through the 8th grade, and it's a kid-focused opportunity to extend learning beyond the traditional school day while connecting locally and with the bigger world. And it's fun!

Children can choose to learn more about language and culture, visual arts, performing arts, technology, science, sports and games, creative writing, or dance. This model helps students increase their academic success and discover new ways to be contributing members of their community.

We offer early drop-off at 7:00am and extended pick-up until 7:00pm!

TOGETHER, WE CAN CREATE A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY

Participate in the Y's annual support campaign

A life best lived includes helping others experience a better life. That's why the Annual Support Campaign exists-to give you an opportunity to invest in your community and see your donation at work every day at the West Cook YMCA, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

Since 2014, over 7,200 scholarships have provided over $975,000 in financial assistance. With your support, we are able to transform lives through access to programs such as childhood obesity intervention, job skills training, safety around water, and summer learning loss prevention
