PARTNERING WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT 89

The Y and District 89 continue to provide youth with a safe environment during out-of-school time, while providing opportunities to close the achievement gap and increase in-school success. Families of students enrolled in these programs are offered complimentary wrap-around services. 

 

COMPLIMENTARY WRAP AROUND SERVICES

To increase health and wellness for our students and their families, complimentary memberships are offered to 100% of our parents/guardians and teachers to provide increased access to Health and Wellness programing. Including, complimentary Swim Access Program for youth to learn safety around water, Chronic Disease Prevention Programs, and Esports, a collection of competitive sports played through a video game requiring the use of strategy, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills to achieve individual or team success.

D89 AFTER-SCHOOL SIGNATURE PROGRAM FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

 

PROGRAM START DATE: Monday,September 30, 2024

 

AGES SERVED: K-5th graders

 

PROGRAM DAYS: Monday-Friday | End of school day- 6:00 pm | Half day and early releases are included; No program when there is no school or school is cancelled

 

PROGRAM COST: No cost for families as the school district covers program fees

 

ENROLLMENT CAPACITY: starting with 20 scholars per school | one classroom with adult to student ratio of 1 to 10 | will expand to additional classrooms for up to 40 scholars per school

 

PROGRAM LOCATIONS: Lincoln Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Washington Dual Language Academy

 

MEALS PROVIDED: Snack is provided

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Children showing cold or flu-like symptoms like coughing, runny noses, sneezing or above normal temperatures are not permitted into the program. If during the program, a child begins showing flu or cold like symptoms, staff will escort that child to a designated care center where they can be further assessed, under staff supervision and care until the parent can be notified.
